Joni Mitchell is a nine-Grammy award winner who gave up her daughter for adoption in 1965.

In 1964, she got pregnant with her ex, Brad MacMath.

However, Brad left Joni three months pregnant and around then she had no cash and proper place to live.

In the same year, she gave birth to a baby girl, Kelly Dale Anderson. But due to a financial crisis, she had to give her up for adoption.

This incident inspired the singer to make the album "Blue", which is among her best works till now.

She stayed quiet about this for the greater part of her career, yet some way or another in 1993 her story became public.

Throughout these years, her daughter, who was renamed Kilauren Gibb, continued to look for her natural parents.

Mother and daughter at last met in 1997 after clinical and adoption records connected them up.

Mitchell has been entertaining us for ages, and we really thank her for every piece of music she has made for us.
